Bernstein Advances to Finals for Tulane Men’s Tennis

Freshman Adam Bernstein advanced to the finals of his flight as the Tulane men’s tennis team continued the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational Saturday. Bernstein topped Trey Walston of host Alabama 7-5, 6-4, in the semifinals.

Men Eighth, Women 10th at Cross Country C-USA Championship

The Tulane men’s cross country team placed eighth at the Conference USA Championship Saturday, while the Green Wave women finished 10th at Bear Branch Sportsfields in The Woodlands, Texas. Sophomore Julia Whitrock paced the Green Wave women in 20th to earn Third Team All-Conference USA honors, while sophomore Brian Lozes’ 42nd finish led the Tulane men.

Bernstein Leads Men’s Tennis at Alabama Invite

Freshman Adam Bernstein picked up a pair of victories to advance to the semifinals of his flight as the Tulane men’s tennis team opened play at the Alabama Crimson Tide Invitational Friday in Tuscaloosa. Sophomore Shaye Wali and freshmen Rodrigo Rappaccioli, Chris Somers and Coby Kramer-Golinkoff each picked up one win on the tournament’s first day.

Cross Country Runs for C-USA Championship Saturday

The Tulane men’s and women’s cross country teams head to The Woodlands, Texas outside Houston for the Conference USA Championship Saturday. After using the previous four weeks to return an injury-hampered squad to full force, the Green Wave look to enter the C-USA Championship clicking on all cylinders.

Women’s Tennis Has Stellar Day At ITA Southern Regional

Heading into the 2009 ITA Southern Fall Regional, Tulane head women’s tennis coach Terri Sisk was quick to point out that her team’s primary goals were to focus on performance goals rather than results. After a stellar day at the Yarborough Tennis Center in Auburn, Ala., however, the Green Wave may have to rethink their approach to the tournament as the second-year Tulane program went 4-2 in singles play and 3-2 in doubles action.

Men’s Tennis Picks up Four Wins at ITA Regional

The Tulane Green Wave men’s tennis program posted four singles victories Friday at the Wilson/ITA South Regional at Goldring Tennis Complex, but was knocked out of the doubles competition with three pairings falling in the Round of 32. Coby Kramer-Golinkoff, Chris Somers, Joe Young and Shaye Wali all picked up consolation victories for the Green Wave.

Men’s Tennis Wraps Bracket Play at ITA Championships

The Tulane men’s tennis team was a gracious host at the Wilson/ITA South Regional Championship Thursday, as freshman Etham Frenkel was the long member of the Green Wave to pick up a singles victory in the 80-player tournament.
