Women’s XC Places 15th at NCAA Regionals

Sophomore Julia Whitrock placed 27th overall as the Tulane women’s cross country team finished 15th of 21 teams at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship Saturday at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco, Texas.Whitrock posted a team of 22:09, an improvement of 40 seconds off her performance as a redshirt freshman last season at the 6K regional championships.

Seniors Lead Volleyball to Sweep of UTEP

In their final regular season home match, the Tulane volleyball seniors won the 88th game of their careers Saturday with a 3-0 sweep of UTEP at Fogelman Arena. Senior outside hitter Ksenija Vlaskovic led the Green Wave with 15 kills, hitting .303, while senior setter Rachel Lindelow handed out 36 assists with five service aces.

Volleyball Closes Regular Season Saturday vs UTEP

The Tulane University volleyball team will close its 2009 regular season Saturday at Fogelman Arena in the Conference USA finale against the UTEP Miners at 1 p.m. Following the contest, Tulane will honor its five seniors: Rachel Lindelow, Jaye Loyd, Jenn Miller, Stephanie Stromath and Ksenija Vlaskovic.

The Tulane Women’s cross country team will take on the field of 25 at the NCAA South Central Regional on Saturday in Waco, Texas. The Green Wave, which placed 10th at the Conference USA Championship two weeks ago, will hear the starting gun at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course at 10 a.m.

Women’s Tennis Puts Forth Outstanding Effort At Cougar Draw

Sophomores Lindsay Dvorak and Mariam Kurdadze advanced to the finals of their singles flights, and tandem of Kurdadze and freshman Emma Levy moved on to the doubles finals as well, as the Tulane University women’s tennis team put forth another solid effort in day two of the Alonti Cougar Fall Draw Saturday at the John E. Hoff Courts.
