Tulane baseball’s Jamie Bruno finished his summer strong, as the sophomore was named Player of the Year of the Clark Griffith League at the end of the regular season.

Baseball Great Michael Aubrey, Football Standout Seth Marler Among Tulane’s 2009 Hall of Fame Class

The 2009 edition of the Tulane University Athletics Hall of Fame will feature three Green Wave All-America student-athletes from the early 2000’s, including Michael Aubrey, Solomon Kandie and Seth Marler, a two-sport female athlete in Mashandra Hall and George Sweeney, who served as the Tulane beatwriter for Times-Picayune and its predecessor newspapers for almost half a century, was the recipient of the Billy Slatten Award.

Van Norman Resigns as Track & Field/Cross Country Head Coach

Heather Van Norman has announced her resignation as the head men’s and women’s track & field/cross country coach at Tulane University, according to Director of Athletics Rick Dickson. Van Norman is expected to accept the women’s assistant sprints and hurdles coach at the University of Tennessee.
