Men’s Hoops, Track & Field Earn C-USA Academic Honors

The Tulane men’s basketball team and the Tulane men’s Track & Field team were recognized by Conference USA with Sport Academic Awards on Wednesday. Each squad boasted the top team grade-point average in their sport in the conference.

Tulane Sprinter Olivia Kizzee Makes National Debut for Nigeria

Tulane sprinter Olivia Kizzee will compete in the Abuja Grand Prix this weekend in Abuja, Nigeria. Kizzee, eligible by virtue of her parents’ citizenship, is making her debut at the national level for Nigeria in hopes of advancing to the World Track and Field Championships.

Pepitone Part of USA Baseball History

Green Wave pitcher Nick Pepitone was one of four pitchers to take the hill for the USA Baseball National Team Thursday night and his efforts, along with fellow pitchers Gerrit Cole (UCLA), Asher Wojciechowski (The Citadel), and Chad Bettis (Texas Tech) combined to throw the first no-hitter in post-trials USA Baseball National Team (Collegiate) history en route to a 10-0 shutout victory over Guatemala at Coleman Field.

Gautreau to Join Tulane Baseball Coaching Staff

Former Tulane baseball great Jake Gautreau is returning to the university as the newest assistant coach of the Green Wave club, head coach Rick Jones announced today. Gautreau was a three-year starter at third base for the Green Wave baseball team from 1999-2001.
