Tulane avenged the rough loss Thursday with a big 11-2 pounding of the Marshall Thundering Herd at Appalachian Power Park Friday afternoon behind the pitching efforts of Conrad Flynn and the Wave offense. Thursday’s loss was a thing of the past as Tulane opened up the game with four runs with Josh Prince leading the way with a base hit up the middle to get things going.

Baseball Can’t Overcome Early Marshall Lead

Tulane couldn’t overcome two big innings from the Marshall Thundering Herd as the host team put up two four-run innings to open the contest to secure the win in game one of the Conference USA series. Tulane falls to 30-23 and 11-11 in C-USA action.

Tulane Finishes Strong in 9-8 Victory Over UAB

After a marathon battle Friday night, Tulane knew they would have another fight on their hands Saturday afternoon as they took on UAB in game two of the Conference USA series. But after falling behind 4-0 headed into the bottom of the fourth, the Green Wave came all the way back with the help of some timely hitting, solid pitching efforts and by mixing in some defensive gems to knock off the Blazers 9-8 in exciting fashion.

Tulane Baseball Heads Across Town to UNO

The Green Wave baseball club will play their final midweek regular season game of 2009 as they travel across town to take on UNO in game three of the First NBC Bank Cup Series. Tulane enjoyed two previous victories over the Privateers earlier this year.

Tulane Fights Golden Eagles, Elements En Route to 8-4 Win

There was doubt as to whether or not a third game against Southern Miss would be able to happen, with threats of severe weather in the area, but no one is happier to have gotten the official five innings in on Sunday than the boys in green. Tulane put up eight runs to USM’s four before the game was called due to inclement weather at Pete Taylor Park, giving the Green Wave (28-20, 9-9, C-USA) the Conference USA series with the 8-4 win.
